According to "Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Robert H. Support Transplant Patients-Elephant run

If you can, try to attend the Elephant Run this Sunday morning, Mother's Day May 10th in memory of Marcena Lozano. Marcena was a courageous transplant patient who passed. In her memory her parents, Lori and Kevin Lozano, established the Elephant Run to help fund scholarships for other transplant patients. Our office is a sponsor of this great cause.

Bus Fatalities Cause Safety Review

As reported in the Washinton Post ,Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood " ordered a departmental review of commercial bus safety, a response to a string of fatal bus accidents across the country and criticism that the federal government has failed to act." Jackie Gillan, vice president of the Advocates for Highway and Auto Safety, said, "I'm really pleased that somebody over there is finally looking at motor coach safety." However, "she said LaHood's review should not be viewed as a substitute for congressional action on motor coach safety." John Feroleto
