U.S. had to force Toyota into safety recall
"We're not finished with Toyota and are continuing to review possible defects and monitor the implementation of the recalls." He was likely referring to a concern over possible electronic cause- a subject of a future blog.
Also, the subject of a future blog is a problem with the Prius braking/wheel system which will likely be developing in the press.

Massive Toyota recall- questionable floor plan design
Toyota suggests floor mats are the problem, but according to the NHTSA ''does not correct the underlying defect in the vehicles involving the potential for entrapment of the accelerator by floor mats, which is related to accelerator and floor pan design.'' John Feroleto
